Steve has been with Doner Advertising since early 2002 and was recently promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing, Business Analysis & Strategy.
His background includes an additional 15 years of extensive CPG brand management and consumer marketing success across a wide variety of categories. Steve is experienced at leading business and long-term strategic planning, marketing communications, new product development and licensing and also has retail store management and purchasing experience with Kohl’s Department Stores.
At Doner, Steve consults across our client base on varied business, marketing, media and communications projects and is involved in all facets of the marketing process: strategy, planning, program development and evaluation. He partners with our account, research and media teams, and with our clients, to synthesize consumer, corporate, creative, competitive and other business inputs.
His role includes evaluating brand and company strengths and weaknesses, and marketplace and competitive situations, to provide recommendations on how to analyze and build our clients’ businesses.
Steve has leveraged analysis and ROI information in marketing communications planning on both the client and agency side. As the creator of the Doner BEST TM Analysis (Brand Evaluator for Strategies & Tactics), he works with key business and advertising metrics to develop market prioritizations and marketing testing recommendations. He also authored the Auditor TM ROI measurement methodology used to evaluate marketing program performance and several other marketing, media and measurement tools.
Some of the clients he’s worked on at Doner include Mazda, May Company, Public Storage, Owens Corning, Chiquita, AutoTrader.com, Expedia.com, BlockBuster, Eureka/Electrolux, Cox Communications, Six Flags, Buffets Inc., Carrabba’s, Canadian Tire, TicketsNow.com, HGTV, ADT and more.
Steve received a Marketing MBA from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
