White Paper Writing Service

Posted by stranger on 250 Points
Hi guys,

Can anyone suggest a good WP writing service, specifically a service that can provide solid research (fin. services industry)?

My primary concern is the requisite research.

Thanks,

S.

Although I am not one to blatantly pitch my services here, I would be happy to talk with you about this project.

I have a lot of experience in the financial services industry, although that is certainly a vast category.

You may also wish to post your project here for others to review and respond.

    Thanks,

    Paul

It depends on what kind of research you need as to who the right person would be for your WP assignment. You might want to give some thought to the specific requirements of the deliverable, because anyone who is interested will need to know that.

Also consider the purpose of the white paper. Why do you want the white paper? Who is going to read it? What is it you want them to know or do or believe after they've read it?

Depending on the answers to those questions, I may be interested ... and there are many others on this forum who are qualified -- again, depending on the specs for the job.

Stranger - there are basically two kinds of copywriting:

    1. Journalistic copy, which is business writing. There are lots of business writers who can put a good white paper together and charge per thousand words. It is quite low-cost

    2. Marketing copy, which is when you want to make a sale. That is not cheap, and it takes a lot of research to find the right person to achieve the results you want.

In both cases, the best course of action is to find a white paper you know works well, and find out who created it. Most good writers are freelance, so it is an open market.

    Hope that helps,

There's an important point in Peter's message. He says, " ... find a white paper you know works well ... " and that means you have to first know what it means to "work well."

What's the objective? How will you know if YOUR white paper "works well?"

If you don't have a very clear and specific answer to that question, then any writer will do. Find someone who works cheap.

If you do have that clear and specific answer, then you need to find a writer who is prepared (and qualified) to deliver against the measurable objective. It will cost you more, but then steak costs more than hamburger.

A cheap solution isn't really a solution if it doesn't accomplish your objective, right? It's just cheap. Except it actually costs you more in the long run because you never get the real benefit you were seeking and you have to do it again and again and again ... until you learn the lesson.

    Hello,

I agree with the viewpoint that we need to find a white paper that works well. There are different types of white papers that work well in different business situations and contexts, depending on the audience and purpose. For an understanding of white paper types, take a look at

    https://www.whitepaperworkbook.com/white_paper_types.html

I suggest you also take a look at www.whitepaperworkbook.com

The site offers guidelines, tips and templates for writing persuasive white papers that let you demonstrate thought leadership and achieve competitive differentiation in your domain, besides of course getting you a deluge of qualified sales leads.

    Hope this helps
