Words To Inspire The Nation W/space & Education

Posted by Anonymous on 500 Points
We are looking for a simple but powerful tagline for this program. This is a space and technology organization launching a new education program. For a national campaign, we are looking to get people thinking about their future (today’s youth) and our collective future (the nation’s exploration mission and technical workforce).

The audience is primarily 5th to 8th grade students who might not have science & technology interest/access – secondary audiences include younger/older students, families, educators, general public.

We want to evoke the following feelings: Inspiration. Excitement. A sense of hope and something greater.

As a result of the campaign, we want young people to actively consider math and science, and imagine themselves in a related career. We want people to go to our website to get involved and learn more about our activities and education programs.

Thank you Jay and Phil for responding so quickly. I am a fan of Who Know What You'll Discover, because there are so many possibilities there. A student could discover new talents, what they want to be when they grow up - or when they grow up they could discover a new technology or scientific breakthrough.

For some reason, I feel more comfortable with "Mind" instead of "brain." Something like Your Mind, Our Future.

I would also ask a few 5th - 8th graders what they think. You could even have a contest and reward the winner.

I like the approach Jenni H is suggesting. It's probably been a few years since most of us were in your target audience. You might want to gather a group of middle school kids and see how they react to different phrases/ideas, and what words they come up with as being meaningful and motivating for them.

"Sharpen your skills, define your future"
    "Imagine living amongst the stars"
"Learn now, you won't regret it"
"We are a real life video game"

Here is a few random ones that might work.

    Have Fun!

Thank you all for your assistance. Many of the ideas can be considered for communications directed at students as well as those directed at adults.

We do agree that testing is needed with our audience, but we have no time for the first phase. We'd like to incorporate some type of contest to allow these middle school students to help us craft messages. I'm really glad to get theis feedback, and it will be incorporated into our planning.
