If you're an ad agency, then consider yourself your first client. How would you want this client to get noticed? By who? What would make your offering better than the competition? How can you prove your effectiveness? Who specifically would be an ideal client for you?

Jay is correct...after reviewing FaceBook,,,then your under-construction Website; consider a lot of Testimonial and past accomplishments

    Heeey Jemish,

way before you ever start writing a letter of introduction I clarify who my ideal client is. Once your ideal client is nailed down...then you need to determine the Blueprint for the type of content you need to put into your letter. This is the place where the DNA of your client must be known in order to create the successful campaign to move forward. With out this knowledge even your best testimonials or past customers can not save you. I'm almost positive that no one ever decides to start at this place to begin to create the massive leverage needed...or another way of putting it is I've never had a past client come to me ready and prepared to have a conversation with me about these kinds of specific things. Remember that the biggest mistake that most company's make is that they are not Clear about who their Customer is and they have not drilled down narrowly enough to target their ideal Client. But that's where I would start with you if you were my client.

" … so that i can convince them to work with us." This is a huge red flag.

You're running an ad agency and, so it would seem, you have no idea how to write a letter to prospective clients?

You're seeking to "convince" people to work with you?

    You're looking to what?

This is "a dollar short and a day late" thinking.

You MUST be credible. You MUST know what you're doing to do what you're proposing to do.

A Facebook page alone won't cut it. A website that's kinda, sorta, not really anything, won't cut it.

Claiming you do "Digital & New Media" when you have a Twitter account with 2 tweets is laughable.

You're not ready to send out a letter.

Retool no. Re-think EVERYTHING about your business model.

Fail to do this and you'll crash and burn.

    Heeey Jemish,

thank you for your kind words. You will have to consider what Gary has shared above. While you may have some clients you have already done business with this only raises more questions. Questions like...How did you get those clients? And who has written your letters in the past? How did you attract clients you have already done business with? Do you have testimonials from these past clients you have worked with? Where do you have these testimonials from them posted online?

When you say you'd like to target big clients what do you actually mean by the word big? and what has held you back from targeting bigger clients before now? How long have you been running an Ad Agency? and how many current clients have you served so far? If you could answer these questions it will tell us some very important things that will help us understand your company better. Thanks.
