Posted by Frank Hurtte on 50 Points
based on official emails from Nigeria, I am one wealthy dude. I propose we compare scam emails for fun and points. I will give 100% of my points to the person with the richest story...
here is mine.............

Attn:Frank Hurtte
I am CAROLINE EDWARD, a solicitor at law. I am the personal attorney to
Mr John Hurtte a national of your country, who used to work with shell development oil company in Nigeria.Herein after shall be referred to as my client.
On the 21st of April 2004, my client, his wife and their three children were involved in a car accident along sagbama express road. All occupants of the vehicle unfortunately lost there lives. Since then I have made several enquiries to your embassy to locate any of my clients extended relatives this has also proved unsuccessful. After these several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to contact you when I have not seen any member of their family.

I have contacted you to assist in repatriating the money and property left behind by my client before they get confiscated or declared unserviceable by the bank where this huge deposits were lodged. Particularly, the city trust finance company where the deceased had an account valued at about $55 million dollars has issued me a notice to provide the next of kin or have the account confisicated within the next ten official working days.
Since I have been unsuccesfull in locating the the relatives for over 2 years now I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin of the deceased since you have the same last name so that the proceeds of this account valued at $55 million dollars can be paid to you and then you and me can share the money, 60% to me and 40% to you I have all necessary legal documents that can be used to back up any claim we may make. All I require is your honest cooperation to enable us see this deal through.
I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from anybreach of the law.
Please get in touch with me by my email and send to me your telephone and fax numbers to enable us discuss further about this transaction.

Best regards,
CAROLINE EDWARD ESQ

Why don't we change the entire tone of the game....

    Dear Mr. Paul Thomas,

I am Mr. Mtumbi Barundi formerly assistant to his royal highness President Lawrence Taylor of the Liberian National Marketing Company. As you may know, Mr. Taylor was the leader of Liberian National Marketing during a period of incredible turmoil but he always had time for MarketingProfs. When he was assassinated last May, he left a large number of debts and the only thing he had of any significant value was 283 million points on the MarketingProfs website.

I have been retained by his family to get the most I can for the points Mr. Taylor had accumulated but their is a catch. All of Mr Taylor's marketing prof points were encumbered in the African MP website. If you could assist me by sending me your full MarketingProfs account details, I can transfer the points from there to your account and will gladly pay you a fee of 2% of all the points transferred. Think about it, you've always wanted to be considered an expert marketeer and what would say more about your success than to have nearly 5 million Marketing Profs points in your account.

Please respond soon as the points are set to expire on May 21 2006. If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

    Respectfully yours
    Mtumbi

Frank -- THAT'S a serious testimonial for the KHE!! Love it!

All -- Did you see the article (titled "The Perfect Mark") in this week's New Yorker about the Massachusetts psychotherapist who actually got swindled by the Nigerian email scam? Unbelievable that any educated person would fall for it!

    Read it here:

I’ve had Caroline write to me about the death of my long lost relative Mr John Alker of Nigeria.

I wrote back to her to thank her for the information as I had a long standing debt to John of some $250,000 which I had promised to repay at sometime when I had made my fortune.

I told her I was saddened to hear of John’s untimely death and that as there were no heirs, only money to be dispersed; she could simply deduct my indebtedness from the sum she proposed to make available to me. I suggested that she organised this through my long standing friend and old Africa hand, Roy Shepherd, who has a base in central Abuja, where he would make my cheque for $250,000 available to her prior to the transfer of her sum to my account.

Roy was my General Sales Manager and one of the toughest nuts I’ve ever met or had the pleasure to work with. When the firm made him redundant without reason or compensation, he bided his time and then had their VP of sales arrested on his next visit to Kenya. He arranged this over a game of golf with ex- vice president Mwai Kibaki. Roy had the poor guy released once he’d agreed to pay his redundancy and a few “expenses”.

It’ll be interesting to see what he makes of Caroline.

Unlike dearest Caroline, I’m not making this up!

    Regards

Frank. In response to your Posted Question. Here is reality for you!.

What would happen if a wealthy Indian identity had only one Son? and that Son made his own choice? she is elder to him, she is a single non-Indian female that had previously born two non-Indian children?

This is what happened: She was offered a life-time in expenses paid.

For the children: Expenses paid up to, and including the level of University.

I could be sitting here looking real perky! ... I would be sitting alone.

I don't know whom is the wealthiest person on this board Frank, all I know is - I am priceless.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my disgust where the truth is never compromised.

Wow! Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. Happy Mothers' Day?

    With Respect and Regards,

thanks all... the newyorker article is fantastic...

What an evil bunch these Nigerians are....

Wow... 5 Billion Dollars... Can you imagine the marketing implications of selling $5 Billion worth of nothing? These people are the ultimate. I wonder what kind of response rates they get from their bulk mailings?

Well Frank, as it is a quasi nationalised industry, I guess that they don’t have to worry too much about efficiencies. And as it’s the western world’s tax £’s or $’s in the form of an aid budget or debt relief, I guess that we are eventually paying for the privilege of being ripped off. According to your own CIA (What a nice, helpful bunch of chaps!), Nigeria has a GDP of only $74billion and $35billion of debt, much of which was accumulated by assorted purchasers of expensive sunglasses and uniforms who keep various Swiss banks and electric cattle prod manufacturers in business.

I think that our only hope is that the Nigerians fully nationalise the scam. I can remember the state owned UK car industry, when about one in 100 of its products worked and no one at all wanted to buy what they made in any case.

In Nigeria, under careful, centralised Government direction, the fraud will fall apart as do all statist enterprises. It’s either that or get the UN to take it over!

    Steve,
I like the way you think... We could theorize that nationalized and socialized industries usually fall fail in one way or another. So, if we encourage the Nigerian Government to Nationalize the Fraud Marketing businness, they will find themselves unable to write a decent scam letter or not equipped to create a forged check.... I like it.

I believe this group could solve the world peace problem.

Frank, I’ve been doing a bit more research to assist with world peace.

A friend from the free-market Adam Smith Institute (www.adamsmith.org) has suggested the UN as the fastest means to self destruction.

As the UN couldn’t start a fire in a phosphorous factory without:

    a) Burning down each other’s houses as they stole the phosphorus and
    b) Blaming the rest of us for discovering phosphorus, despite the phosphorous factory being built for President Xyz’s nerve gas factory. Sorry, insecticide plant.

They are therefore ideal candidates to eliminate the scam by being asked to eradicate it. A high level UN delegation would then meet at Gleneagles in Scotland or some other 7 star hotel complex at a cost of about £100 Million and set a 7 year agenda to talk about the problem.

Meanwhile various UN diplomats from Belgium and France would be found to have become involved in the scam under the pretext of research.

In about 2013 a group of UN corruption specialists called the General Assembly (Personal experience assured) would meet and condemn the West for inventing the internet, the fax, the telex and the carrier pigeon which has facilitated it.

The ensuing publicity will effectively eradicate the scam whilst the scammers, under the protection of the UN will mainly scam each other, rather than us.

All we’ve got to do is stop George W and Tony Blair from invading Lagos!

    Best wishes

    Steve

    Steve,
thanks for the great link... I couldn't find the information on unleashing the United Nations on Nigerian Scam Artists.. but the rest of the information was great.
