Dodgeball?

Posted by Blaine Wilkerson on 250 Points
Here in Oklahoma, someone formed a Dodgeball league.

The response was so huge, they had to turn town over 30 teams due to inadequate facilities and staff.

Does anyone else have a DodgeBall league in their State/Country?

Do you think it's an idea worth investing? I saw the movie...brought back old memories of how fun it was to play!

What do you guys think?

    LOL..

As far as investing, I am referring to sponsorship.

    You never know!

    Thanks Gary!

    Blaine,

sorry to say but we do not have a dodgeball league that I know of. And dodgeball being an idea worth investing in would take a lot of arm twisting. I wish I had better news to offer. One thing I can say is that it was a fun game to play when I was in Junior High. Is there anything else I can do for you?

Jett, I remember enjoying DodgeBall in grade school and playing a meaner version called Bombardment (using basketballs) in the high school gym. I think this idea could remain popular as a niche activity. A few options for consideration include:

Seniors – using a beachballs, lots of time to move out of way.

Kids – smaller beachballs for smaller targets

    The paintball crowd – basketballs

    Iraq – baseballs

    Corporate:

    Sales vs. Marketing

    Executives vs. staff

The more I think about who would like to throw something at somebody else, the longer the list grows. Yes, this idea does have potential.

PS – I’d rule out Dodge Auto as a potential sponsor. :-)

    Great idea Steve!

Golfballs could make it quite interesting as well.

You know, Dodge Auto just may sponsor something like this. Unfortunately, and I hate to be pessimistic, Someone has surely put that together already.

Water ballons and white t-shirts for the women's league?

Of course we should have a mens whitey-tighty league as well to be fair.

Oh, gawd... this has all the earmarks of a future REALITY TV show. Pure cheese gratification. The phrase "You're fired!" might be replaced by battle scars of dodgeball. Poor Donald!
