More Help With Envelopes

Posted by Anonymous on 100 Points
Thanks for everyone that has given previous input on envelopes. I am implementing a program called Vletter to use my hand writing to create my letters. Here is my new question: In the return address should I put my name or do a "sneak" attack and leave my name off the return address?

Definitely put your return address on it. No return address identifies it as junk mail...not in the eyes of the postal service, but in the recipient.

Always look at your own experience on stuff like this.

If the question is just about your name, you can put your first name only....making it more personal.

Use whatever name you are known as in the market place, wether it be your own name or your business name. The most important rule about marketing communications is 'Consistancy'.

i too reccommend the use of a return address. My company is River Heights Consulting. Often I just put RHC and the address. I have noticed a slight difference in response to the RHC.

You could do a "lift" on the envelope- where you have a 'post-it' kind of coloured paper which makes people lift it and see your name & return address. You will get good recall with this envelope design coupled with handwriting- great differentiator.
