THE MOST MARVELOUS FEAT EVER ATTEMPTED IN THIS OR ANY OTHER AGE BEGINS RIGHT NOW WITH YOU!

Hi my name is Deremiah CPE and I’m a marketingprofs teamplayer. Today I have a really simple question but one everyone should be able to share something on one or more levels. Simply put the question is ***HOW WOULD YOU CREATE CRAZY PR???***

Here we go…

If you were fortunate to make a dynamic impression on several important websites today how would you do the following: ( you don’t have to answer all three…please just provide input on a level where your expertise meets the question.)

1.) So what would you tell your client to do if they were attempting to get their story out to a broader audience?

A.) Would you tell them to use the internet (if your experience was more in that area) and if so how would you direct them?

B.) If your experience was more in printed media how would you tell them to expand their name?

C.) If your expertise was more in Press Releases how would you direct them to gain more media attention using newspapers, magazines or Television?

NOTE: (this question will not be up longer than *** 69 hours ***... so please after you answer the question notify at least one marketingprof friend to take a shot).

Thank you for all of your gems of wisdom. I truly appreciate your warm and beautiful human qualities. If I don’t know you please send me an email by going to my profile.

Is there anything I can do for you?

Your Servant,

Lovingly Deremiah, *CPE (Customer Passionate Executive)

    Hi Deremiah,

My specialty's not in PR, but maybe this answer will help. I would begin not by thinking in terms of the tactic or vehicle (internet vs print, etc), but in terms of the objective and the audience.

Segment your target audience and determine PR vehicles from there. For example, Oprah might respond to a press release coupled with a touching video letter from one of the children. Corporations might respond to articles in HR- or business-related publications.

On your press release, I wasn't quite sure about why you are focusing on $100 million. It would make more sense to me to focus on what you are trying to accomplish -- e.g., establish a literacy center, get 100 at-risk kids into college, provide x for x number of kids...etc. Then you can say that the way to accomplish that goal is to raise $100 million.

Focusing on the goal will lend the campaign more credibility, IMO. Also, I think it makes the message stickier.

Are there people who have already been helped by the program? Publicizing their stories could be really powerful. Including your own story of being an at-risk youth (and how you became succesful) would also be powerful. You might try checking out Operation HOPE, led by John Bryant. I think he does well in publicizing his campaign for financial literacy. Hope that helps!

I would tell them to conduct a seminar.
I would tell them to create and host an event (BIG)
I would tell them to make sure the press knew about their upcoming event.
I would tell them to advertise their event.
I would tell them to try for a radio spot (relevant)
I would submit press release on all of the above, plus some
I would tell them to write an article and submit through feeds
I would look for every relevant public forum where the person could make an impact and get press

    Deremiah,

We're actually doing this with a customer in the travel industry and it has been difficult since the number of websites related to travel is incredible.

We continue to do thorough searches for all travel-related sights that are are targeted to affinity groups (e.g., NOT Travelocity). They are adding banner ads on a regular basis. It has been slow, but progressing. We've also arranged a joint promotion between them and another travel-related customer.

The travel side is just one portion of their business but now it is the only one making money for them. The key has been to stay active and flexible. If we decide to target a new site, they can turn it around in 1 day....AND pull it just as quickly.

place and watch. place and watch. place and watch.

Hi everybody thanks for getting me warmed up here. I got a bad link above but here it is...

    https://newsblaze.com/story/20071118151241tsop.nb/newsblaze/TOPSTORY/story....

THANKS Tracey, very good input and I appreciate you being my a great set of eyes but more importantly your input. I'll be sure to roll out more input on what we've done so far.

GREAT Question By TRACEY>Are there people who have already been helped by the program?

    The answer is...

WE'VE DIRECTLY CHANGED THE LIVES OF CHILDREN BY...

*Being instrumental in raising their Iowa test scores in some subjects by two grade levels. This will give more of them a greater chance of getting better High School ecducations and eventually College Educations.

*Improving children's ability to become great public speakers. Because I've found improving their ability to stand erect and speak confidently has changed how others perceive them.

*Two Saint Charles Dentist Dr. Mason and Dr. Prose have been instrumental in working with me by providing dental care that has helped improve not only the smiles of children but an improved smile improves the inner confidence of a child. So we've seen some powerfully dynamic inner changes that have come with these outer changes.

and there are way to many other ways we've helped make changes that I don't won't to bore people by over listing the benefits. But there was input about helping 10,000 inner city kids obtain well to jobs in the article. That in itself requries a great deal of funding to pull off and so helped to put an emphasis on the need for funding.

***Further more Judyth Piazza is doing an amazing thing to give college students an opportunity to write for internet newspapers and some of her student writers have been picked up by CNN and FOX NEWS. Her organization is one of those where were helping to raise money for this great Corporate/Student driven initiative.

Tracey thanks again for inviting me to take a look at John Bryant's, Operation HOPE. I'll be sure to do look into that. Is there anything I can do for you?

GREAT Ideas Marketingriot...worthy of trying more than a few. Is there anything I can do for you?

GREAT Ideas by Kathysmithcasting...I like your approach and way of branding through consistency versus ducking and changing so quickly without getting results. Your answers are always so specific and to the point which makes it hard for me to make mistakes. I'll work on that and tell you how it goes. Thanks again Kathy. Is there anything I can do for you?

GREAT ideas by Mbarber...you always bring something interesting and very doable. Thanks for every word as your concept is sound and the approach very effective. Shopping for media people versus trying to get everyone to jump on it also generates a certain desire to be involved by the media. Is there anything I can do for you?

GREAT input Michael...I just need to consider how to make it work for me.

GREAT idea Cmscathryn...You've given me something here to think about.

Now how can we generate CraZy PR...Everybody!!!

  • Posted by Deremiah *CPE on Author
Thanks Steve GREAT idea...yes you're right. Pulling more groups together always seems to give you more energy. The power we gain as we accumulate more relationships on different levels is very, very important.

I am fortunate that we are leveraging relationships with other community and civic groups in our area. The St. Charles, Illinois Kiwanis organization has become a great powerhouse force in that it has not only allowed us to have a very powerful partner but it has also allowed some of the children that I mentor to learn Leadership Building Skills and Volunteer skills that has taught them to give back to the community versus expecting to be only a receiver of the community.

The St. Charles Rotary Club has also been a very valuable force too. So partnerships are good but leveraging these relationships for far more publicity could be a whole lot better. Steve how would you use some of that ---Pre-Existing Relationship Power--- in your promtional material or would you? Thanks so much Steve. Is there anything I can do for you?

Looking forward to gaining more momentum on this.

So how would you further the opportunity to Create CraZy PR?!!!...

Take it to the internet. It's an audacious goal, so challenge the blogosphere to help.

    * Create a website/blog where progress towards the goal can be tracked and people can make donations.

    * Create a widget which people can install on their blogs tracking progress towards the goal. Show which blogs are referring the most traffic.

    * Ask bloggers to post on the cause and the goal. Offer them something in return, maybe a 'wall of fame' linking back to all of the bloggers who have linked to the cause.

    * Look for corporate sponsors for the website. If traffic starts to grow, companies will want to be able to be seen as part of a good cause. Perhaps there's room to adopt the 'million dollar homepage' model (https://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/), maybe create a 'hundred million dollar homepage'.

My concern for your campaign is that you're targeting a sum of money without clearly showing how the money will be used (or even why you need it). The amount captured my attention, but the lack of a plan caused me to become suspicious.

    For example:
    1) How has monies you've previously been raised been used (specifically)?
    2) Testimonials from beneficiaries of your work
    3) What's in it for you (financially)?
    4) I don't want to see your picture in the ads - I want to see who you're helping
    5) Create an independent non-profit foundation. Make donations tax-deductible.
    6) Asking for money without seeing examples of your work is problem. Anyone can ask, few can show (not just words).
    7) Enlist your corporate friends to form a board of directors for this group.
    8) Online, create a list of donors based on amounts of giving. Basically, you'll be creating a paid backlinks in exchange for a donation.
    9) Once you have some media attention, create a webinar telethon. People can watch you, listen to you and others talk, donate online, etc.

Hi everyone Great suggestions...Great Ideas... Great questions...and even Greater suspicions. You got to LOVE it all.

GREAT Ideas by Joe...another excellent way to consider making the campaign stick. I like your ideas about the website concept connection too.

ANOTHER QUESTION ABOUT WEB DESIGN FOR Joe's concept:
But Joe what kind of angle would you put on the website...Serious to a fault, Serious, Enjoyable, Fun like qualities since youth and children are involved, dramatic or plain & Simple???

Wonderful ideas keep them coming. Is there anything I can do for you Joe?

KATHYSMITHCASTING WINS THE PRIZE FOR THE ****GREATEST MOST INVOLVED BEFORE HALF TIME*** AWARD

GREAT Ideas by Kathysmithcasting...Thanks Kathy for the wonderful ideas and definitely for considering the ---FUN SIDE--- of how you're beginning to approach this. FUN is good and UPBEAT is how I like to do it and how I've built my name and reputation. So often we murder ideas that have great ability with the put on an EXTREME Serious FACE overtone. And while Kathy I know there is a serious side to you...you get it...just loosen up, smile and go for it! Thanks again for all the information. I'll share this with my ---YOU CAN SMILE MASTERMIND--- group.

GREAT Ideas by Kathysmithcasting...Thanks again Kathy for the interesting research that will allow me to consider how some information about research can even be added to the mix. A good friend of mine named Jim Morel sat down with me about six months back and talked to me about a wonderful strategy that will impact my success in this thing and one third of it has to do with research and supporting the function of why my impact with children is important. Thanks for refreshing my memory on this Kathy and girl you know me and you should be teaming up on this in some way because I know the love you have for children. So when can you and I talk...you know this conversation has been coming for about two weekends...(LOL). Great input Kathy and tell your friend Jean Dale I'm ready to meet her anytime that works for her.

GREAT Ideas by Jay...I appreciate you catching this but I've been dealing with susipicions every since I came into this world...some rightfully so and many suspicions that I had nothing to do with that have been here for centuries that people keep carrying forward. I don't operate in fear but it is good to know what peoples fears are so that they can be addressed but truthfully most people are in fear and some to the point of paranoia but we have to live and live happy is important. Your ideas are very valid and I sincerely appreciate them. I've got a whole lot of resouces to back up all the concerns though and I don't want to begin to try to address them all here. Some are outlined in other articles about me on the internet, some in written hard copy form. We just aren't fortunate in having to give all the details to all the questions people have to ask but if anyone wants me to direct them to the answers on the internet and in the mail I'll be happy to do that. Great input Jay and you're very, very, very right. Some people are going to see the negative first before they see that I've been changing the lives of children for a few decades. Thanks. Is there anything I can do for you Jay?

Alright everyone thanks so much and I look to so much more.

    Your Servant,

    Deremiah *CPE

See I have to agree with Jay in some respects. I know you are a "good feller" as you have answered some of my queries in the past but what I am interested in is the thing "Children At Risk" How are they at risk, Where will the funds raised be targeted and yes I even listened to a bit of the audio. This thing has to be a challenge to be successful because it is about changing not just the what but the how for your client audience.

So anyway here is my idea for more leverage but you have to create the great story to go with it. Everyone out there in the blogosphere/emailosphere/whateversphere. COuld we each just give one dollar to the campaign? Sure we could but would we and how would we get one person to missionary ten others to also give. About two weeks ago, we had a small fundraiser for Philabundance for holiday turkeys and canned food drive. The canned food drive produced about 120 pounds of food so I ( hate that word) went to the management team and convinced them to match whatever was raised by the rank and file. Together we (love that word) raised $420 dollars plus a $420 match and we bought 75 turkeys for Philabundance.

If it can be done on a small scale then it can be done on a big scale. So we will commit to a donation to the nonprofit charity of your designation and we will commit to sending it via email and following up with five of our friends (sounds a whole lot like a chain letter) but you have to come up with the right packaging and messaging to really make this campaign a reality with positive goals and outcomes for the folks you want to help.

Hope that helps and no I am really not a cynic just a kid who grew up in a rural area where we got lots of questions before we got our allowance. BTW god bless your endeavors for good. The world needs more people who give of themselves for the benefit of others.

    Hi Juliet,

Thanks for your response to my "How would you create craZy Pr"...Let me try to answer your questions as you listed them and in order.

But let me make some clear statements so we can keep the answers flowing.

    HERE'S MY CREDIBILITY &
those who give thousands to my dream trust me because of what you're about to read...
ALL OF MY WORK IS DONE WITH CREDIBLE 501C3 ORGANIZATIONS IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA AND IN CHCAGOLAND SUBURBS LIKE ST. CHARLES ILLINOIS.

I HANDLE NO CASH...This is posted in newspaper articles, on my website, in my press releases and shared at various interviews. PLEASE DON'T SEND ME ANY CHECKS...I'll connect you with the organizations that can handle your money and provide you with a receipt for your donations.

I'VE GIVEN THOUSANDS of dollars a year out of my own pocket.

SPENT MANY 14 HOUR DAYS pouring into the lives of our youth for years...on the battlefields of life crying for them, encouraging them, teaching them, coaching them, visiting them in hospitals, writing them in prisons, visiting them at home and volunteering countless hours at times with no pay to this cause. I've got videos of me working with them in poor communities and pictures in public housing projects where corporate CEO's and motivational speakers with sqeeky clean websites and retouched photos won't go and my photos haven't been retouched or photo shopped to have that great technological feel to them.

There are Newspapers that have taken pictures of me training our youth and teaching them how to become successful. I have audio recordings with me speaking to kids, Thanks to Vic Conant the Chairman of Nightingale Conant Corporation who believes in my dream, Nightingale Conant has had nearly a dozen students in their studios with me recording our interview with Dan Strutzel. Mike Jais has been very helpful a printer friend of mine, so has Brian Mc Cumber the CEO of Interdev company, Dr. Mason a St. Charles Dentist, David Segura a Fortune 500 CEO of VisionIT, Cordell Williams a Regional Executive for AT&T, former Executive Vice President for (SAIC) Neil Cox, Carson Conant CEO of Mediafly.com , Claudia Freed President of EAL and way too many hundreds of others to name here. I've got stories by the dozens of different reporters who have come out met the children and reported back to the world what they say and they were moved. Many people talk about helping children ---I Live For The helping the youth--- and thousands upon thousands of people help me with this great work, introduce me to all their friends and family without skepticism.
I'M A VOICE FOR CHILDREN AND PEOPLE USE MY STORY TO HELP CHILDREN GET A FAIR CHANCE IN LIFE. They use my success to prove that children who are supported by corporate, community and family involvement can succeed. The following corporations donated to my education when I was at North Park University through EAL (Educational Assistance Limited)

    Nabisco

    Monsanto Corporation

    Allied Van Lines

    W.W. Grainger

    Brach's Candy

    Oil Dri Corporation of America

And these organizations have all contributed to the lives of many other students and youth for decades. They prove that corporate involvement makes a difference. They trust me...they gave thousands to my education.

I'LL BUILD CONNECTIONS AND LINKS BETWEEN CASUAL CITIZENS AND CORPORATE DONORS WHO WANT TO HELP ME WITH A POWERFUL CAUSE THAT'S IN MOTION.

Now let me say I'm not ---Desperately SEEKING Donors---. I've got people nation wide who help me out all the time and the numbers are growing. Most of the people who come to me are looking for ways to give to bonifide 501C3 organizations like the ones I connect them up with.

SECOND: I'm a spokesperson for children and no money ever comes to me. All of the money goes directly to the organizations I've become affiliated with. So no cash on my hands no accusations of what I'm doing with the money. The organizations I deal with have great accounting firms that most of us would know by name if I began to mention them...but even accounting firms with great reputations these days are subject to questions. So who is credible in the eyesight of a judgemental audience...no one. (part 1 answer to Juliet's question)

(Part 2 answer to Juliet's questions)

NOW MY REPLIES TO ALL OF JUILET'S QUESTIONS....
JULIET QUESTION #1: Why did you chose to place it in the "Just for Fun" category?

DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: Juliet I choose this category because I like playing with ideas versus getting all logical and up tight about what I'm creating. Creation should be a FUN activity even when we are dealing with serious matters. It's been scientifically proven that more ideas flow from a mind that's in a stat of having FUN. Most adults don't get it...but the kids do...Most businessmen don't get it...but the kids do. Some of the greatest geniuses I've dealt with over the last 20 years have been children.

Adults are very up tight, very critical, very skeptical. Most news is negative because most humans like to eat up the negative. Another reason why I put it in the FUN CATAGORY is because getting too analytical before you loosen up is not cool. I'm sorry I don't do uptight...I live life from a more ---FUN Paradigm--- like children. And most children don't like adults because of this very same reason because they think most adults are uptight and they're not cool. Another reason I put it in the FUN CATAGORY is because I know like my good friend Tom Peters, The Uber Guru that ---Work should be FUN--- not full of pressure and uptight like a lot of adults have become because they're working too hard and too far away from children who help them to remember there was a time when life was FUN.
Simply put Juliet...I LIVE IN THE "FUN Category" that's why I put it in the FUN CATAGORY...don't you like FUN...(lol)

So let's have fun with the concept of PR...save the uptight questions for other categories where people are uptight about the money they want to gain or are loosing. I'm not loosing any money, I'm gaining it and friends world wide from coast to coast...the people that know me like me because I'm FUN and I'm COOL and so I'm FREE to be CREATIVE.

    I'VE GOT A PLAN...& it's God given...it's $100 MILLION and it's going to happen....
I've got a plan if people like you don't help me with giving kids a chance to have a better life, if people like you don't help me wipe the eyes of children that are crying themselves to sleep at night, If people like you don't help me with the youth that are threatening to commit suicide, and finally if people like you don't help me raise $100 MILLION dollars for the Children At Risk...I'll just laugh and sell $100 MILLION dollars of all my creative gifts and give the money myself. I LOVE our youth and they LOVE me too because they know I'm Geniune and I care about them. Now the sad thing is if you don't pitch in and help out that's on you. And when it does finally happen they'll still be critics but...

THEY DON'T ERECT STATUES TO A NEGATIVE CRITIC.

JULIET QUESTION #2: Is it that you want responses that are fun and novel for your cause to take forward or is it a hypothetical question?
DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: Sorry Juliet I don't do hypothetical too well because I've spent all of my life living in reality, I do daydream, use my imagination and brain storm but it's all in Fun for the hear and now. FOCUS more on FUN!!! Sure I want responses that are FUN and Novel...because they are more productive. Tell me Juliet in your relationships do you Focus more on having FUN when you're with family, friends and relatives or people at work? or do you Focus more on being hypothetical with your friends, family and relatives or people at work?

JULIET QUESTION #3: Next query...are you wanting a slot on the Oprah Show?

DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: No not really! But I did hear that Oprah wants a slot on my show. Oprah wants to know how I overcame suicide...Oprah wants to know how I work 14 hour days and devote it all to children, Oprah wants to know why skeptics look and wonder what I do with the money (money that never comes to me and only goes to qualified 501C3 organizations who love what I do for them)...(lol) (Rofl). Oprah wants to know how I get the news to do these amazing life stories on all the children I mentor and then they squeeze me in the middle. Oprah wants to know how I became the adopted son of Chicago Tribune Columnist Anita Gold, who adopted me when I was in college and mentored me for 2 decades. She was a syndicated Antique columnist for the Chicago Tribune and Knight Ridder...here you can read about her https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=gmail&q=Anita%20Gold%20Antiques%20Co... . Anita passed on to me all of her secrets to generating CraZy PR. She spent hours giving me the keys to the kingdom and her own personal life experiences. Oprah wants to know how I would have mentored Michael Vick and his brother Marcus Vick in order to steer them out and away from trouble, Oprah wants to know what I would have told Lindsey Lohan and Britney Spears about staying out of trouble. Oprah also wants to know what I tell our youth about Hip Hop, Rap and R&B music but Finally Oprah wants to know what I would tell Larry King about rearing great children if she decided not to put me on her show

JULIET QUESTION #4: And what do the children you mentor think?

DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: About what Juliet? Theres's a whole lot to think about (lol)

JULIET QUESTION #5: Who makes the decisions about how money raised is spent and why?

DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: Juliet the 501C3 organizations make their own decisions with their Trustees and Board members about how money raised is spent. You would have to ask those organizations as every organization makes their own decisions. I'm not in the boardrooms I'm in the trenches, in the dirt on the battlefields of life working with our youth.

JULIET COMMENTS #6: I also go back to points made in a previous question posted by yourself about At-Risk children. It's important to genuinely and meaningfully involve them in helping themselves and that includes fund-raising.

DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: Juliet I've mentored over 400 children and they all have been involved in helping themselves...I'm creating alumni's who are giving back as they get older. My kids don't need to beg as I teach them how to self sufficient, creative, positive, independent and interdependent upon those who believe in their dreams.

MY CHILDREN ARE GREAT GIVERS...GREAT CITIZENS...A LOT BETTER THAN REGULAR CHILDREN IN THE COMMUNITY WHO ARE GAINING NO REAL SELF DISCIPLINE ABOUT HELPING THE COMMUNITY THEY LIVE IN.
Juliet the children I mentor learn how to fish very well and they catch a great more participants and donors then you could ever imagine. They also learn how to support themselves and they volunteer their time and their life in the community through groups such as THE SALVATION ARMY and KIWANIS. So the children I help they not only recieve from the community but they give back to the community in ways most of the general public doesn't. In this world most people don't even give loving support to their own families or neighbors let alone volunteer time to the community. Our children give back in such a loving way that others are easily compelled to help me with this dream. Often the parents of very wealthy St. Charles, Illinois children come to me and ask me for advice on how to get their chidren involved in giving back to the community. Most parents aren't showing their children how to do this as a standard rule. (to be continued)

(Part 3 answer to over a dozen questions by Juliet)

JULIET'S QUESTIONS #7: Once you clearly have identified the focus of your fundraising in terms exactly what you are trying to accomplish and have established an independent non-profit foundation then you enable yourself to apply for and receive grants from other charities and organisations which support the aims of your work. For example here in the UK, the BBC have a "Children in Need" fund which they distribute to groups within the UK, e.g. paying for children's workers in women's refuges. "Comic Relief" is a similar organisation. Lottery money is in part spent this way too.

DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: Juliet my question is not centered around starting a non-profit organization...that's really the last thing on my mind. I don't need the government controlling anything. I believe like Thomas Jefferson our 3rd president of the United States that the government should be involved in the affairs of American citizens as little as possible. And if we don't depend on the government to guide our children or to set our initiatives then we can avoid this outer world initiative that we've invented where we are not helping our children right within our own communities.

JULIET QUESTION #8 & #9: Are you looking for gimmicks which catch media attention? Ideas for raising funds?

DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: NO I'm not looking for gimmicks which catch the media but I am looking for FUN, light ideas that are inventive like some of the ones previously given. So If you can think about what solutions you can give me I'd sincerely appreciate it. Now that I've answered all of your questions maybe you can give me a dozen solutions for every question of yours I've answered (LOL).

JULIET QUESTION #10: Finally, just a thought...is it worth using a marketing company to support your work?

DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: No, unless they have my interest at heart for the children.

JULIET QUESTION #11: Which part of the $100m are you, as a person, most interested in doing?

DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: I'm interested in doing what I've shared with you above.

JULIET QUESTION #12: The marketing itself and the behind the scenes work?

DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: I am doing the marketing and the behind the scenes work with some guidence from some Super Marketers who have asked me not to mention their names.

JULIET QUESTION #13: Direct work with the children themselves?

DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: Yes Juliet as described above...(Please read)

JULIET COMMENTS #14: Think carefully about your role and position in your campaign.

DEREMIAH *CPE ANSWERS: I've spent two decades daily creating strategies and accomplishing all of my goals for my vision.

Now Juliet could you please provide me with a few dozen ideas (LOL). I think you should have just opened up your own question and paid the money that I did for my points. It's taken me nearly 3 hours to answer all of these questions and properly. Now I need some solutions Juliet so what do you have to say?

Still waiting for other ideas in the Print, TV, Radio or any other media. Thanks everyone please more examples like Kathysmithcasting. She's poured her heart into giving very valuable solutions without skepticisim. I've got to much at stake not to be reputable...I've got that part designed and answered. Thank you.

    Your Servant,

    Deremiah *CPE

Thanks Phil for your input as well. At least you bring it home with some solutions and again I'm not asking for money. I've got plenty of friends who see to helping me with the investments. Again my question is looking for ways to create CraZy PR. Now Phil you've given me an idea to at least think about and set goals meditating. Those who want to help me sponsor the development and education of 10,000 inner city youths that we will snatch out of the mouths of poverty to go with the hundreds we've already helped will not be looking for reasons not to give. Most are friends of mine and I'm just sharing the news with the world about what we are doing. I think the more I think about it Cathryn offered some great advice when she told me to write about it and put it in a book. That's a great way for me to make it where those who are questioning what is taking place can read it for themselves to satisfy their doubts and quench their thirst to know more. Thanks Phil...great example and good advice.

I think it will get better from here on out.

    Hi Mbarber,

how lovely of you to want to consider how our futures are brighter by our willingness to work together. So yes we can connect via email sometime today and talk about the details to how we make GREAT things happen for Children.

The amazing thing is the PRESS has been very positive toward me but my motives are good and my intentions are undenialably and understandingly for the benefit of our children.

A PHILANTHROPIST IN MY OWN DREAM...
I have not taken one single dime for myself in the whole matter. My needs have always been met and it does pay to be a philanthropist in your own dreams. Rockefeller financed his through his ideas and I'm sure what one man can dream and achieve another man can as well.

So let's connect up and please feel free to add any additional ideas to this question. And as we move forward I'll introduce you to all of my valuable hard working friends and you and I can MAKE THE WORLD a more LOVING, GIVING, CARING and less fearful place for Children and less cynical place for adults. Thanks Mbarber. I sincerely appreciate your gesture and I am humbled by your compassion for children too.

"1.) So what would you tell your client to do if they were attempting to get their story out to a broader audience?"

To me, THIS FIRST QUESTION leads to the first step - developing a strategy. Before addressing (A), (B) or (C), I would take a look at the big picture. I wouldn't start with any proclivity for online or offline, traditional PR or non-traditional PR. I would begin with identifying all the elements required to look at the problem, form an objective and then create a strategy to meet the objective.

For example, maybe the solution turns out to be a publicity stunt (I don't hear this term much anymore, probably a negative connotation). By definition the purpose of a publicity stunt is to attract news reporters to a story. And while I do admit that my own experience has been more in the online viral social media planning area, I wouldn't want to predict what is certainly, at least in part, an "organic flow" of news distribution. In other words the online and offline worlds are not separate, they are more integrated.

It is difficult to be more specific without knowing the product, audience and full situation. The creativity necessary for a great program comes from the details unique to a PR problem/opportunity.

    Interesting question Deremiah.

    Hi everyone,

after a week of Turkey on the Barbie I'm holiday punch drunk. Although I know Thanksgiving is celebrated here in America we all truly have something to be thankful for. I'm very thankful for the three responses above full of thoughtful twist and turns on how to "Create CraZy PR".

Well one reason for this question is that I've heard of so many ways to consider doing a creative PR campaign and in all of life my two best friends are forever present "RISK" & "REWARD"...I don't think we'll ever get rid of these two masterminds which appear to work in tandum with one another. So my question hits at the heart of PR Creativity that could very well begin with a traditional foundation but end with something bleeding edge. I've put it in the Fun Category because I think it should be fun and being a mentor of many youth I notice Fun is part of the required paradigm which in no way means the thought process can not be a "Challenging" FUN at that.

    MULTIPLE LEARNING STYLES DO MATTER
Thanks for your response Juliet. Your input has been invaluable and refreshing us on the different learning styles can never be sidelined in a discussion like this. people do have different learning styles and I believe even within the Learning styles there are deeper catagorizations that may inspire us to consider how and why we should look at a mult-tiered approach to creating our CraZy PR campaign.

    DOES ABSORPTION RATE MATTER???
Well I guess it all depends on who you ask. But how we absorb the information and process it will affect how our CraZy PR campaign will produce the kind of effects we are going to see. While some campaigns hit us universally other campaigns will hit us according to the parties we target. So Juliet your point is raising some interesting things for us consider along with involving children and making it Fun.

A CURIOUS GEORGE KIND OF QUESTION FOR JULIET???
How do you think you would do that in this case? Do you have some ideas that just come to mind now that you can see a more complete picture of the depth of this campaign? So thanks for your input and I look forward to you adding more advice here. Is there anything I can do for you?

And Steve Byrne your input was a welcome release of ideas as well and thanks for the lovely compliment on the question. Your approach to ignoring the different avenues where the CraZy PR campaign could be released was eye opening as we could form an objective and then create a CraZy PR strategy to meet the overall objective. I'm not sure if publicity stunt is a negative connotation or not it probaby just depends on how negative or positive those who initiate it are.

CURIOUS GEORGE QUESTION FOR STEVE BYRNE???
So Steve Byrne what kind of stunts might you have in mind that would lend itself to this CraZy PR campaign. I agree with you that seeing the online and offline worlds of PR as integrated or related to one another is also a very important idea that's worthy of consideration. Thanks again Steve Byrne...Is there anything I can do for you?

And now for the other Steve...Steve Hoffacker. I really saw an interesting paradigm shift in perception. How we percieve the way one side may view the opportunity from there end and how we can see it almost cloaked as a whole different opportunity from our end. This is definitely a worthwhile addition to the ideas shared above.

CURIOUS GEORGE KIND OF QUESTION FOR STEVE HOFFACKER???
So Steve could you describe a random way that I might be able to offer this twist on CraZy PR for my future campaigns? Steve is there anything I can do for you?

WE'VE GOT TO SQUEEZE THESE ORANGES TO GET MORE JUICE...
THANKS everyone for your ideas and the interesting thoughts you have shared. Maybe you could shoot an email or two out to other members and ask them for their involvement before this question is closed. I still think there is so much Juice left in this orange but we've got to squeze it.

    Deremiah,

    Re: Curious George

Again with no specific product or audience info, how about something like this. Find an O.J. look alike. Have him drive the infamous white ford bronco north on the 5 Frwy in Orange County, CA. Place product graphics and web address (maybe the auto license plate) on the white bronco. Hire a news cam helicopter to provide a live news feed to anyone willing to broadcast it.

    Budget for legal fees :-)

    Hi everybody...

here's an early Christmas present for an old question. I hope the points are still fresh. While this question remained opened I've had some of the most amazing things happen to me. My life has dramatically changed and my voice on behalf of children has increased seven-fold. Since the posting of this question I have added to my list of forces to impact the future of children for good in amazing ways.

My opportunity to become a syndicated columnist writing articles that motivate the lives of others while touching 50 different online news sources everytime my work hits the internet is an amazing feat for someone like me who contributes huge man hours to the lives of At-Risk children. There are other things of which I'll pass on sharing right now for the sake of time and maybe I'll just post a new question and share it then. If you are interested in knowing more please post that you'd like me to open another question sharing these new opportunities. This gives me greater opportunity to serve you by influencing your relationships for good with my growing new database of friends.

Merry Christmas to you all and watch Kathysmithcasting taking off to new rankings in the Top 25 KHE experts list. Kathy I'll have to catch up with you later...lol. But I still have the phone pressed against my ear awaiting your call...lol. I love all you guys...you're the greatest!

Mbarber I still have not forgot about you. We need to hang out and create a strategy to take America by storm.

Steve Byrne and Steve Hoffacker shoot me an email so we can exchange numbers and talk. I'd love to help you both out.

Phil, Jay, Joe, Michael, Marketing Riot, Tracey and Cmscathryn I'd love to hear from you too.

Last but not least Juliet please get in contact with me so I can tell you about the Curious George stories and send you a copy of the Video sense you are a Sensory learner.

    Again I love you all.

Is there anything else I can do for any of you that would make your lives happier and cause you to live a more fulfilling but dynamically EXUBERANT life?

Your Servant, (Because I just love to please)

    Lovingly Deremiah *CPE

    Deremiah,

Congrats on the new opportunities. I know that I enjoy writing probably more than anything...except cold calling.
AND when you get positive feedback from your readers it just makes your day.

Haven't quite figured out how to do that more than monthly, though.

    Merry Christmas!!!

    Michael
