Need A Company Slogan For Electrician

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
My husband is looking to finally open his own electrical contracting business. We are located in teh Central Valley in California. He has been an electrician for over 5 years. I want something catchy that inspires trust from the customer and also to assure customers that the work done is done right and professionally. we've come up with a few, but I think they are lacking something.

here's what we have so far, feel free to outright condemn them or just give truthful feedback. We appreciate honestly and constructive criticism.

-We're full of Bright ideas!
-Powering your life right
-Making life a little brighter

Does he specialize in home or business work? New homes? Specialty devices (pool heaters, entertainment centers, etc.)? Big projects only?

The tagline won't inspire trust in itself - but you want the right words to appeal to the right audience to know they're choosing the right specialist for their job.

    Nikki,
Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to reach out to you. I have over 30 years experience in all aspects of the electrical business and have helped a number of contractors get things ramped up.
I have a couple of suggestions I wanted to share with you.
    1) many people fear the cost associated with electrical work. they fear it will cost a whole lot and they have no way of gaging what it should cost.
    2) I suggest publishing some typical costs - ie cost to install outdoor lighting, cost to troubleshoot a bad connection, etc.
    3) I suggest you read Tom Peric's book Wacky Days. It talks about getting free publicity. Your husband needs to be the guy on TV every Christmas talking about electrical safety with outdoor lights. He needs to be the guy the newspaper interviews when a house fire is caused by bad wiring or when someone is electricuted.

Finally, I suggest he call on small businesses to let them know who he is and why they can trust his pricing....

    Good luck...
