Naming An Annual Seminar

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Would like to come up with a catchy phrase to name our annual seminar; something that will make you want to attend. the seminar is centered around the drug screening industry and is being held in Miami, Fla. We want to promote interest and increase our registrations as much as possible and that first glance needs to catch attention and make a person want to attend and hear more!

Sadly, catchy phrases do little to make people want to attend these kinds of events. I work with a major healthcare organization and in my experience, people attend these kinds of events because of who's speaking, because of the content, and because of the networking opportunities, and less so because of a name. While a small percentage of that first glance might win a little bit of attention, the trick lies in holding and in directing that attention. Who is your ideal attendee? What is this person looking for in terms of content?

I work in healthcare as well, and Gary Bloomer is right.

But, you didnt say that you lack incentives. Actually, with all the recent changes to local and federal laws regarding prescription narcotics and prescribing requirements, the interest to learn is "organic" right now. Especially issues surrounding the legalization of marijuana, as well as info about the effects of new designer street drugs.
