Tagline Question Again!

Posted by Anonymous on 300 Points
I was set to go with a tagline, but then a forum member pointed out that my tagline says nothing about what my store is, does, or sells. This time, I'm seeking any ideas. My general gift shop is called, "The Ruffled Ribbon". I will be selling books, stationary, jewelry, baby items, pet items, etc.
My goal is to sell great {gift} items that people can use, and not items that sit and collect dust (pretty but practical). I also want customers to shop for themselves, and not just on special occasions. I considered a play on the word "ruffled" (not just another pretty present neatly packaged, but useful) even though I chose the name because I have an affinity for ruffles and ribbons. Perhaps, I should consider it a specialty shop. Thanks in advance for responses. This will be the last posting regarding this matter. I promise: )

Since your store's name is vague, keep the tagline straightforward, such as: "Pretty & Practical Gifts" or "Gifts For You And Your Loved Ones"

Thanks so much everyone! I'm still thinking. There are three (practical treasures, pretty and practical and gifts you'd buy yourself) that absolutely adore. I have to mull it over.
Feel free to add more while I'm thinking!

I think rufffled can also mean a little tattered or messed with, not neatly packaged. Similiar to "ruffled his feathers" I love the name and don't want to change it. It took a lot of trial and error to develop.
Having said that, I like "practical pleasures and gifts" a whole lot!! That would take care of what people think of when they see the word treasure. I like the addition of gifts, books assesories. Perhaps I can use that creatively with keywords. Thanks!

Oops! Pardon mispelled word (accessories) and at least one gramatical error.

I am also toying with the word "useful" as opposed to practical. It's a little similar to the phrase "needful things".
I really appreciate the time and effort everyone has taken to respond to my post.

That's great! It's a lot pressure for my new little store, but it's fantastic! I suppose I could combine it with the words practical and accessories.

Thanks so much to everyone who participated in this post as well as some of my others. There are so many talented marketing professionals on this site, and I am thrilled to have discovered you.
My new tagline will somehow include the words "gifts and accesories" because I think those words let customers know we are not "just" a gift shop.
