Know-How Exchange : Strategy

I am going to "re-do" the place MHoye had very positive optimistic advice a lot of it is what I was thinking and some didn't think of ---- The name of the place prior to my owning it was the Ale House and I have gotten rid (if you want to call it that ) of the "Image" of the place with the younger crowd (21-30) they know it is not the "Ale House" any more and there is no more goings on there that went on when it was the other place,,,,However it is the older crowd I am wanting to reach out to (32-??) my age group -- I know there are a lot of them out there but the town I am located in has become such a commuter town )although there are quite a few other out skirt towns close by,,, But the older crowd is the one that I need to target ---that is why I am extending my menu to add Fat salads and fat wraps and I am going to be painting the inside and adding off lighting and making it look classier,,, As well as the menu(the food is really good ) but it is home cooking,, It is not phoo,phoo type stuff. I don't know I like the Idea about the free childs meal with the purchase of adult,, what about a 'business man's lunch special? and should I make the special "dine in" only?? that way they see the place is different?
I do not feel the name is affected by the SUPERSIZE movie because not as many people have seen it as you may think especially by me -- there are people that haven't seen TITANIC here,, The day and age likes to talk health concious but in reality ,,, Mc Donalds , Wendy's and Burge King are all still packing them in,,So I do not think I should be having a problem since I have Better burgers
As far as my four regulars (bye the way thanks for the laugh) they are not stumbling drunks and there is more than four but not all at once all the time ,, they are good people but now they only go to my place --I love them for it I just wished they'd spread the word.

I am curious what did I fail to take advantage of because I truely missed it and is it too late to act on it???
I mean it was a watering hole; however it was a watering hole of a few not many but maybe I missed something maybe I alienated people ?? I don't know and how would I get them back ?? the old guy's said they would stay at my place and they didn't (they didn't like my husband and the moron woman I had working there) They are gone now and 2of them died so that leaves about maybe 5, I don't know what to do or to build up a loyal clientel like those guys were to the place through two owners --I am the first owner that was a woman and not even close to their age.. So I'll never get them back but can I do it with the new generation and how...Thank you all for your help I do appreciate it and print it out to goback to
