THE MOST MARVELOUS FEAT EVER ATTEMPTED IN THIS OR ANY OTHER AGE BEGINS RIGHT NOW WITH YOU!

Hi my name is Deremiah CPE and I’m a marketingprofs oldie but goodie. Today I have a really simple question but one that should not be overlooked for it's huge value in how somethings manage to get listed in Google and how you can use that in your benefit or to your detriment if you fail to apply it.

Here we go…

Ken McArthur's Daring Zengwhacker Riddle.

1.) What are Zingwhacker ideas and how did they generate 1,330 listings on Google without anyone knowing what they are?

NOTE: (this question will not be up longer than *** 69 hours ***... so please after you answer the question notify at least one marketingprof friend to take a shot).

Thank you for all of your gems of wisdom. I truly appreciate your warm and beautiful human qualities. If I don’t know you please send me an email by going to my profile.

Is there anything I can do for you?

Your Servant,

Lovingly Deremiah, *CPE (Customer Passionate Executive)

Have you ever seen the end of "Saving Private Ryan" where Tom Hanks provides the advice to Pvc Ryan to "Earn This"

The thought is that something really big has been given up in exchange for the private to go home and do really great things.

I think the idea of getting attention for a book launch in a really noisy world is a novel thing. Perhaps it is even a great thing if it is "truly" impactful.

So my answer is that a zingwacker idea or riddle isn't just something to get noticed but perhaps something that can really make a difference in somebody elses life.

We have a responsibility to our collective customers not to just catch their attention but to "earn it" by having insightful things to say.

P.S. Deremiah, you have over many many responses to queries on many topics on MProfs earned the right to ask for our attention once in a while. Best regards

    Here's the background of how/why zingwhackers: https://learningfolder.net/blog/?p=123

It's simply a viral experiment by Ken McArthur

Notice how they picked a word that has never been used -- it is a brand new made-up word. Zingwhackers, Stompernet -- even the names of the Internet Marketer's like Frank Kern or Eban Pagan - these are names carefully picked out that have very little if any competition on the search engines -- which is key to dominating the search results for the keyphrase. Yes, definitely a viral marketing campaign at work. Can't wait to the day that these campaigns become as dated as PDF e-books and email marketing. Marketing needs a new twist.

Hi Phil, Juliet, Jay Hamilton Roth and Levon...thanks for your response.

Hey Phil thanks for your lovely compliment to my service here on marketingprofs. Lately I've been feeling like a Zengwhacker. The unpredictable things that you think only happens for others has been happening for me.

Phil I haven't seen that movie. Are there a whole bunch of Zengwhackers on it or something.

Thank you Juliet for your input. 940 listings on the UK side huh. If it was a viral marketing campaign shouldn't there be more listings for it? I can see how a different word would create a lot of talk-talk.

Hey Jay thanks for jumping in there...It seems you have some knowledge on the subject so if you don't mind me asking what constitutes a viral marketing campaign? I mean if I send an email to 10 people does that constitute a viral marketing campaign? or is it based on all 10 people replying? I'm just trying to understand how this works.

Finally Levon are you saying that Zengwhackers are carefully chosen words that no one is using but would make it easy for them to gain #1 status on the internet because of their keyword status? Then my question is how would this make them better off because they picked it.

Thanks everyone I look forward to your WhackerZeng response.

    Your Servant,

    Deremiah *CPE

This is really a pre-launch phase of a mass launch style internet promotion campaign, right?

A carefully chosen keyword allows you to dominate that key phrase -- if you called it "Internet Marketing" or "Ken McArthur's Internet Marketing System" you would have a difficult time making waves and I am sure his upcoming book touches on this subject in one of it's chapters. You make reference to "Caring Promotes Exuberance" -- so I assume this is a "pay it forward" -- give something away for free and build a list" formula for marketing. I think this is a spin on neo-classical internet marketing doctrine that is very present right now.

A viral message is something that when you hear it, you want to tell your friends about it. It could be a funny story, a business opportunity, etc. Generally viral messages are a bit outrageous - outside people's normal experience.

If you send a message to 10 people, it's viral if they want to (and do!) pass the message along.

Hi Everybody...got a couple of interesting responses here by two very intersting people...Levon & one of my hero's...Jay Hamilton-Roth. Let's here it for them everybody.

Now Levon, let's first consider your statement.

    LEVON

DEREMIAH *CPE---I'm not sure that, that's what this is about...I'm going to have to ask Kenneth McArthur about this whole thing since he started this mess about the ZengWhacker. But I've been having a little trouble getting to this Neo-SuperSTAR author whose whole book is supposed to show you how to get above the Smog of promotion that seems to bombard us on every hand.

Is the purpose of this word some new fangled way to exalt yourself over and above all the other PROPAGANDA (and my use of the word PROPANDA is not to be mistakenly used in this new age rendering we've created for this very ---old school--- word that has lost it's true meaning.)

It appears that some might think it (ZengWhacker)becomes some frantic buzzword that everyone just begins to feel a deep rooted connection to or association with that put's them in a zombie like trance that makes everyone across the internet become GO-bots for an internet campaign. That's the part I have trouble believing. ZengWhacker has got to be more than just that.

I can get with that it is a chosen keyword that allows you to dominate that key phrase. I make a lot of transactions with keywords, the studying of them and all that but at some point the words have to become like a lit firecracker stem that just takes off on a frantic ride until it explodes or climaxes into some heavenly pot of gold for the internet marketer.

Well Jay I hear you and get what you're saying now about what may constitute a viral motivational message that compels people to not only read but press FORWARD or SEND while a person is in their email box. But why would a person get hyped about the word ZengWhacker?

Thanks everybody...tonight we're closing the question whether we get an answer or not. Thanks again.

And Levon...the best way to pay forward for me is for you to send a check to or hit send after you put your mastercard number into paypal for an undisclosed six figure sum...lol. Just joking but thanks for your input I appreciate your answer I'm just trying to really understand this thing.

    Your Servant,

Just wondering if this is a "friends" (as in the TV Show ) thing (and, I admit I did not watch the show) which I am told was about nothing. Is Zengwhacking - (or Whackzinging, for that matter) nothing more than a made up word to generate hits and get people like Market Profs to talk about. The question is - does it make us want to buy the book???

Always good to see your posts on the board - although I seldom respond - you make us think!

Good Luck and enjoy Memorial Day Weekend!

    Dear Deremiah

Better late than never for an old friend!

It’s wonderful to hear from you again – I too have been absent from the forum due to “Projects”, one of which is a study of the new breed of interned marketing zillionaires - made more difficult by my decision not to purchase a single scheme or “Product” from them in the process!

Ken MacArthur shares a lot of characteristics with the very best (Or worst) of the Get rich quick” merchants, but what he is doing is far more moral, more ethical and more benign, which leads me to guess that many of “Peoples Enterprise Web Guru’s” have rather borrowed their money making schemes from his methodology rather than accuse him of copying them.

These guys have an idea to sell and until they are well known, they need to sell it in small doses, using multiple “free” offers. They do this at a relatively low price ($27, $37 and $47 per month are common figures to charge people who want to become web millionaires by learning the secrets)

To make a lot of money, the originators of a scheme or a scam need to develop an extensive reach and in turn, get their affiliates to further promote their scheme, in turn getting more people to promote the originators status. Once they have a base of idiots (Sorry, customers and prospects) they are then elevated to the Guru status which allows them to charge $9037 for a course which is, of naturally, “Sold Out” after two days of advertising. Inevitable, a few spare places come up for grabs a week later and are offered to the drooling fan club. Then a couple of months later, because of the overwhelming demand and the viral campaign which has spread the good word about how “Invaluable” the course is, it is offered to a “Select Few (Thousand!?) at, guess what? $47 a month!

I’ve been looking for a way to use their techniques, ethically and in the B2B context to the same ends – great reach, repeat income and viral marketing but done in an ethical manner and I think that Mr ZengWhacker has just provided me with yet another bit of the jigsaw.

    Best wishes

    Hey Stevea,

my good ole friend. I miss you too. It seems we have both been engaged in high end special projects designed to make our customers money versus our own desire to solely focus on our own personal "Wealth".

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN FROM OBSCURITY (THE GHETTO) TO FAME & FORTUNE...Did he need a ZengWhacker?...
As you and I both are fans of Benjamin Franklin and we've both probably read the Road to Wealth...(I say maybe because I know I have...not sure you have). Franklin who like me came from mere obscurity ---(but before American Colonies had Welfare programs)--- learned much about wealth and often what Americans fail to see. (Because most at least poor to middle class Americans have not read the book).

What Franklin saw and was concerned about in the young nation is that people would be striving so much for wealth that they would end up sacrificing the sacred things that at the very foundation of America made it a great country. I most certainly agree with you for I myself have studied this interesting internet phenomenom where internet gurus do gain an audience and achieve high levels of wealth. But we would be accurate not to lump them all in the same boat. Like most people in the world some have high values and others low values. As a rule I've learned to get to know people first and then make my assessment of what their true values are even in an industry like this one where most want to maintain good values but sometimes in their desire to gain wealth they lose sight on the true goal...and that is to SERVE your Customers.

    DEREMIAH's ZENGWHACKERLOSOPHY

    SERVING THE ZENGWHACKER PHENOMENOM...
Good Wealth is merely achieved by serving the needs of others first. It is a by-product. Serving is the ZengWhacker phenomenom that can exist within all of us because it is a self made concept created for the purpose of differentiation.

    ZENGWHACKER GIMMICKS NEVER WORK...
Although ZengWhacker's can be used as a gimmick it will never work to the best interest of the user because it is built on a short term objective versus a long range objective.

    ZENGWHACKER Endurance...
When our ZengWhacker has endurance...when it can go the distance as a differentiator in marketing terms it has the greatest opportunity of serving customers needs more effectively and our own.

    ZENGWHACKER VIRAL MEDICINE...
Although it's easy to see that ZengWhackers have a strange viral power they do not in and of themselves have the ability to heal our ill behaviors and solve our GET-RICH QUICK Scams. But ZengWHACKERS properly used are like medicine to the sick...they make everyone who takes a spoonful far more better and healthier because of their longterm effects.

Well Stevea, thanks for your input and I only wish I had points to give you my good friend. Go to my 500 Question and feel free to make a post their and I will assure you that you can cash in on your points there. By the way...when are you going to open the doors for me to stop through and visit you in the UK. If you make time I'll come over and SERVE YOU by offering you a couple of days of "Free Labor" in any area where you'd like me to BRAINSTORM with you on a problem. I do this a couple of times a year for Nightingale Conant Corporation, the motivational Personal and Self-development company. Thanks for your time Stevea and shoot me an email righ now about my offer.

Is there anything else I can do for you that will make your day a little brighter?
